Running the Bases: A Piedmont Maintenance Story

In order to keep an airline running, each maintenance base fulfills different needs for the system. While people might just think of aircraft maintenance as assisting during the day, airline mechanics are fabricating parts, working overnight, overhauling aircraft, and even roadtripping to remote stations across the country. This short documentary covers it all, highlighting maintenance technicians from six different bays across the country and the unique role they play in keeping an airline running.

Aircraft maintenance is in a severe shortage in the United States, so for both recruiting purposes and inspiring the next generation, we crafted a story about what makes aircraft maintenance so instrumental and varied in order to commemorate Piedmont Airline's newest base in Albany, NY.
